My second children’s picture book Dragon can Sing is now available on Amazon. In this book, Dra wanted to fly and breathe fire like every other dragon but he didn’t realise that his royal red wings and green spikes were not all he needed. In a kingdom where only the strongest survive, will Dra make it?
I must tell you, this book is the best gift you can give any child or school teacher. It showcases beautifully the damage that bullying does to people who are neurodiverse or have disabilities.
Writing this book took me on a different journey from the first one especially because I used non-human characters. However, I must commend my 2 sons who were my writing and illustrating editors for their contributions. Not only did they edit, when it was time to put the colours together, they were also more than happy to help. As you should expect, they have been given their due credits in the book. Getting them to be a part of this process means that they can also come on the inclusion journey with me after all, charity they say begins at home.
So, I hope you enjoy reading the book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to share your feedback with either through a review or by sending me an email here.
All the proceeds from the sale of this book go to charity- The Winford Centre for Children and Women towards supporting their work.
